Connect Google Tag Manager

A quick-start guide to get Adwize monitoring your GTM container in under 5 minutes.

For detailed configuration options, trigger modes, and troubleshooting, see the full GTM Integration Reference.

Prerequisites

  • A Google account with access to your GTM container
  • An Adwize account

1. Connect your Google account

  1. In Adwize, go to Settings > Data Sources > click Google Tag Manager.
  2. Click Connect with Google.
  3. Grant read-only access when prompted.

2. Select your container

Pick the GTM container you want to monitor from the list. Adwize will fetch its configuration.

3. Install the monitoring tag

Option A — Download & Import:

  1. Click Download .tpl in Adwize, then import it in GTM under Templates > New > > Import.
  2. Create a tag: Tags > New > Adwize, paste your API Key, add the All Pages trigger.
  3. Preview to verify, then Submit > Publish.

Option B — Template Gallery: Search for "Adwize" in the GTM Community Template Gallery, add it, create a tag, and publish. (Gallery listing coming soon.)

4. Verify integration

Back in Adwize, the Verify Integration section automatically checks three things:

  • Template imported in GTM
  • Adwize tag created and published
  • Events flowing from your container

Click Check Status or wait for the automatic check. When all three are green, you're done.
