Connect Google Tag Manager¶
A quick-start guide to get Adwize monitoring your GTM container in under 5 minutes.

Prerequisites¶
- A Google account with access to your GTM container
- An Adwize account
1. Connect your Google account¶
- In Adwize, go to Settings > Integrations > click Google Tag Manager.
- Click Connect with Google.
- Grant access to view containers and edit workspaces when prompted. Adwize never publishes live — you publish in GTM.
2. Select your container¶
Pick the GTM container you want to monitor from the list. If there are multiple workspaces, choose one. Adwize will fetch its configuration.
3. Install the monitoring tag (optional)¶
Connecting GTM is enough for config snapshots and accepted workspace edits. Add the tag only if you want live events.
- In GTM, Templates > Search Gallery > search "Adwize" > Add to workspace.
- Create a tag: Tags > New > Adwize, paste the API Key from the optional template step in Adwize, add the All Pages trigger.
- Preview to verify, then Submit > Publish.
4. Verify integration¶
Back in Adwize, the Verify Integration section automatically checks three things:
- Template imported in GTM
- Adwize tag created and published
- Events flowing from your container
Click Check Status or wait for the automatic check. When all three are green, you're done.
