Changelog¶
User-facing release notes for Adwize. Full developer detail lives in CHANGELOG.md in the repository.
Adwize deploys from version tags (for example v0.5.13). Entries below summarize what changed in the product for operators and agency users.
Unreleased¶
Company contracts and Stripe billing
- On Datastarter company admin (company detail), you can draft a services agreement for the brands you select, Save draft, and Send for signature to the billing contact. After they sign, they pay and the subscription starts — one subscription, monthly total = Price per brand × brands on the contract (Save billing; Update card when a Stripe customer exists).
- Sign and checkout pages are branded Datastarter Inc. (
/contracts/sign/…): agree to the services agreement, then continue to Stripe Checkout when payment can start. Success confirms Stripe will start the subscription; cancel means no card was saved. Sign links expire in 14 days. - Usage projects (Setup / Consulting / Custom) are invoiced separately, Net 30 — Stripe emails the invoice; those lines are not added to the subscription.
Integrations stale snapshots, tool refresh, GA vs BigQuery
- Settings → Integrations shows amber notice on GTM container config and Google tool cards (Analytics / Ads / Sheets) when a snapshot is past its refresh window: “This snapshot is older than its refresh window. Recommendations still run.”
- Stale pinned tool snapshots (GTM, Analytics, Ads, Sheets on the live workflow) can refresh on the hourly schedule without pulling warehouse tables or blocking recommendations; warehouse pulls and Daily scoring stay on their own ticks (extends Schedule — does not restate Schedule controls).
- Integrations help and Google Analytics / warehouses docs: event history is the mapped BigQuery export; the Google Analytics connection is Admin config; mapping
events_YYYYMMDDdoes not link that table to the connected property.
Shopify, Klaviyo, Synapse, and Fabric sources
- Connect Shopify under Settings → Integrations → Add integration as a read-only source (
*.myshopify.comshop + Admin API token with read orders, customers, and products). Enable orders, order lines, customers, products, and refunds; set first-load on the connection; refresh follows the account Schedule. Adwize does not create orders, discounts, or other store changes. - Connect Klaviyo the same way with a private API key. Adwize copies profiles, email campaigns, flows, and engagement events — it does not send campaigns or change flows; audience delivery stays on the existing activation path.
- Warehouse sources now include Azure Synapse Analytics (dedicated read-only SQL user + password) and Microsoft Fabric (Entra app tenant/client/secret + SQL endpoint). Both copy enabled tables only and do not write back.
- Pulling one source stays under that connection and does not move the recommendation clock; Daily Schedule still refreshes and scores data already pulled without retraining.
- Docs: Shopify and Klaviyo pages are live; warehouses cover Synapse and Fabric; Settings related links include both.
Agent roster, shared client brief, Analytics consultant QA
- New specialist desks: SEO Strategist and CRO Specialist (recommend-only site advice until a CMS/theme worker exists), plus a Creative Strategist catalog stub that is not on demos yet. SEO works from Search Console and page inspect (query-to-landing mismatch, thin pages, on-page hygiene, slow URLs). CRO works from landing/funnel and the same page inspect (checkout drop-off, landing tests — and says measurement is missing instead of inventing a test).
- Insights → Workflow agent cards show richer desk descriptions when available, not just the short role line.
- Existing desks show refreshed names and copy operators already see on the map (for example Analytics Strategist, Lifecycle Strategist, Forecast Analyst, Growth Lead, Media Strategist).
- Specialists share one client brief (goals / KPIs, connected platforms, brand notes, durable facts agents remember) instead of inventing industry or goals in prompts.
- Analytics Strategist can recommend as a consultant even when error rate is under the cap: field-validation admin rules (is it a GTM fix or a wrong rule?), live-page checks (snippet, load, third-party hosts), and hive-style checks (journey gaps, data-layer contract, destinations, volume drops). As lead it writes inbox findings; when Growth leads, it writes specialist memos.
- Docs: AI Agents lists the optimization roster and shared client brief; onboarding covers the organic/checkout and Analytics consultant QA paths at a high level.
Inbox observations and remembered decisions
- Specialists can write inbox observation cards when they see something real in the digest — not only catalog plays. Catalog plays stay the priors and the execute allowlist; observations are recommend-only (evidence required, no execute, no claimed Forecast lift).
- Inbox decisions are remembered: dismiss a play+target and the next pass skips re-suggesting it unless the evidence changes; apply the same play again and projected impact ranges can tighten.
- Docs: AI Agents Optimization roster explains observation cards and catalog plays as priors.
Field-validation inbox cards, GTM apply labels, organic forecast, freshness
- Open field-validation failures show up as Inbox / Today recommendation cards ahead of unpublished GTM hygiene. When a matching tag exists, the card can propose a governed tag update (for example map a missing
user_idfield onto the tag). Those same failures also count toward collection error rate / error events. - Today / Inbox Apply labels the primary button by context (Apply in GTM workspace, Approve and queue, or Assign), shows the execution target on Today cards, and blocks unsafe applies when a GTM change is missing or failed validation (with a Reconnect GTM link when needed).
- Cap north stars read as an “N% cap” (under / over the cap), not “target under N%”.
- Organic / SEO–CRO-style accounts without propensity or LTV scoring can run Forecast without requiring segment / targeting schema; score tools stay quiet when models are absent instead of failing the desk.
- Live GTM (and similar tool) sources count as fresh on Today health when the connection is ok. Configured KPI strips show live collection values. Volume-drop checks handle datetime day keys correctly so alerts fire when they should.
- The Today health-strip hint “Identity resolution is not part of this workflow” is removed.
GTM Apply on field-validation cards, rate north-star polish
- Field-validation recommendation cards can use Apply in GTM workspace when Adwize already has a workspace from the latest GTM snapshot and can propose a governed tag fix. Hygiene-only GTM cards stay Assign.
- Cap / rate north stars on Today read as percentages and show clearly when you are over, under, or at the cap; the spark chart matches ratio north stars.
Insights Inbox drawer
- Opening Insights → Simulate, Audiences, or Workflow no longer logs a console error about reading
statewhen the Inbox action drawer is closed. Retry / Reconcile / Request rollback only show when there is an execution to act on.
HTTPS Mixed Content / connections
- On the live HTTPS app, API calls (including connections fetches on Dashboard, Workflow, and Integrations) no longer get intermittently blocked as Mixed Content from
http://redirects.
Audiences Refresh empty state
- On Insights → Audiences, if this account has no audiences configured, Refresh stays disabled and shows a clear empty-state message instead of a red technical error.
Integrations Schedule, Inbox Ads & rules, Workflow Apply, assistant brief
- Settings → Integrations adds Schedule next to Add integration: Manual / Daily / Weekly, Save schedule, Run refresh now, and Retrain models. Daily refreshes data and scores the models already trained — it does not retrain (toast: “Schedule saved. Daily does not retrain models.”). Default is manual. Per-connection pull cadence moves here; connection setup keeps First load lookback and Save first load only.
- Today / Inbox can Approve and queue Google Ads pause / enable / budget changes (with a budget change cap on the card). The Google Ads connection page no longer sends those mutations.
- Today / Inbox can approve monitoring rule disable / update / create changes that land on the rule page after approval.
- Insights → Workflow shows Where approval applies so you can see where an approved change goes; read edges stay left-to-right.
- The Adwize AI assistant can answer from this week’s Insights brief (north star, KPI rollup, open recommendations), including What should I do this week? and Why is the north-star off?
- The first usable GTM, event, or warehouse source can kick off one recommend pass (no retrain) so recommendations can start without a manual score.
- Days that have event volume but no quality errors count as zero errors, so error rate on Today stays defined.
0.5.18 — 20 Sep 2026¶
GTM tracking, Analytics lead, sparse Insights
- Tracking-focused accounts can use collection KPIs from live GTM events — error rate as a “target under N%” north star, plus event volume. When error rate goes over the cap, a breaking-tracking check can unlock a repair play for inbox approval.
- Analytics Specialist can lead the account (not only Growth) and write inbox findings for governed GTM workspace tag changes you approve.
- Insights → Workflow draws connected tools (including GTM) as live sources and events — with a separate GTM events node when collection events are flowing — and uses tracking-check intro copy when the account has no scoring models. Connecting or updating GTM syncs a container snapshot right away so connection status shows on the map. Thinner graphs (for example GTM-only) use fewer columns.
- Pages that are not part of this workflow say so clearly instead of looking broken: Simulate (“Forecast scenarios are not set…”, GTM tag changes are not projected as shop lift), Audiences (no audiences is a workflow choice), Workflow (live tracking checks when there are no models), Today / Dashboard (shop KPIs and identity not on this workflow; tracking actuals after collection events roll up), and the Insights shell when Insights is off or there is nothing to show yet.
- Tool snapshot refresh only updates tools pinned on the live workflow (disconnected leftovers are skipped).
- Onboarding guide covers the GTM monitoring path, Analytics as lead, and how empty Insights pages read for accounts without shop / audience / forecast capabilities.
0.5.17 — 20 Sep 2026¶
Workflow map, KPIs, audiences
- Insights → Workflow map is pannable (“Drag the map to move”); click a node to highlight its connections and see detail below the map, with clearer story copy (accounts → customer graph, match-rate captions).
- Today, Inbox, and Simulate show the KPIs this account is configured to track (north star, ROAS guardrail, and other configured KPIs) — not a fixed Sessions card or fixed Revenue / ROAS / Sessions charts.
- Audiences has Refresh (queues a refresh and reports when versions or membership change). Export destinations include Google Ads Customer Match alongside BigQuery and Cloud Storage.
- Google Ads audience delivery can use standing approval: authorize a given action / audience / destination once, then later audience versions can queue without another per-version click. Consent is checked again at send time.
- If the Growth agent’s final pass has no findings, specialist plays that already have a title or action can still show up as inbox cards instead of an empty queue.
0.5.14 — 18 Sep 2026¶
Workflow, actions, reports, audiences
- Insights → Workflow shows how sources, models, and agents feed the inbox, plus blockers that need attention.
- Today can show the use case / scenario this account is set up to run (and when it is paused).
- Inbox can Approve and queue a governed action to an explicit Ads or GTM target, then show execution status (retry / reconcile / rollback when supported).
- Google Ads Customer Match audience delivery is available after approval when the account and list qualify.
- Reports nav splits Performance vs Audit, with preview in the app.
- Audience CSV download stays local from Today/Inbox; remote delivery goes through approved actions.
- Integrations setup can add tools as well as data sources.
0.5.13 — 14 Sep 2026¶
Google tool connectors, reports, Simulate, GTM
- Connect Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Google Sheets under Settings → Integrations as OAuth tool connectors (encrypted tokens, accept before write-back, daily config snapshots). They are not warehouse/KPI history sources — GA history still comes from a BigQuery export you connect separately.
- Insights source nodes can show per-source identity share, with clearer coverage and connection-check messages.
- Client performance reports now read as a weekly-insight brief (KPI strip, chart, ranked findings, and a safe absolute link back to the dashboard).
- GTM no longer website-scans; config comes from the Tag Manager API snapshot only.
- Insights Simulate: an unchanged forecast is a valid no-effect, not a failed Calculate (you only get a hard warn when every chart KPI fails to project).
- BigQuery incremental ingest applies date filters more reliably when hive-style partition columns are missing.
0.5.12 — 14 Sep 2026¶
Insights Simulate charts
- Calculate on Insights → Simulate no longer leaves Revenue / ROAS / Sessions empty or partial after you pick actions. If a projection is incomplete, you get a clear message instead of blank charts.
- After Calculate, results that are incomplete for some metrics (or that only show prior/baseline with no real change) no longer look like a successful scenario. If the preview is out of date, you get a clear “Calculate again” message.
0.5.10 — 11 Sep 2026¶
DuckDB and MySQL connections
- Connect DuckDB and MySQL sources through Connections (alongside existing warehouse options such as Snowflake and Postgres).
0.5.9 — 11 Sep 2026¶
Performance reports, simpler Monitoring nav
- Generate on-demand white-label performance report snapshots from Today (draft, then publish).
- The Monitoring Events page is gone; use Overview instead. Sending events via API or GTM is unchanged.
0.5.8 — 11 Sep 2026¶
Connections reshape
- Connect data through the new connections model (catalog + adapters), including warehouse-style sources such as Snowflake and Postgres where configured.
- Stability fix for Today/inbox when a task is missing.
0.5.7 — 10 Sep 2026¶
- Banner alerting fixed on Today.
0.5.6 — 10 Sep 2026¶
Live connections and Today
- Live connections and destinations in the product.
- Draft rules + rule worksheet.
- Inbox folded into Today; clearer KPI copy from your client settings.
- Assistant tools/prompts updated.
0.5.5 — 8 Sep 2026¶
- Responsive fixes for static product mock surfaces.
0.5.4 — 8 Sep 2026¶
- Public website (landing + pricing) refreshed.
0.5.3 — 8 Sep 2026¶
- Insights / optimization platform revamp for enabled workspaces.
